King's Day in Gran Canaria
6th January is Kings day. This is the day the children receive most of their
Christmas presents and across most of Europe Kings day is a bigger event than Christmas day. The 6th of January is also known as Epiphany in the religious calendar
As with all fiestas Kings day is celebrated slightly differently depending
where you are but Agüimes and Las Palmas hold street parades during which, the three
kings distribute gifts to the children.
