Sightseeing in Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria is a small island and it is possible to hire a car and drive around the island in a single day with plenty of to time to stop off and take some incredible photographs and still be back in Playa del Inglés to get something to eat for dinner.
Obviously you cannot see everything there is to see but three days should do it if you want to uncover the real island. You could for example plan to visit the coast then the north and the following day the south.
It is also important to note that there are in Gran Canaria, especially Las Palmas and the area of Vegueta a wealth of historic properties that are worth visiting, from cathedrals to sites of special interest and places of ancient archaeological importance.
There is a wealth of museums as well that cover art, history, culture and science just waiting for you discover them. So there is always plenty to do if you are looking for something different to do. There so many places to see it is difficult to recommend one above another but for history we would recommend Pueblo Canario for a science trip there is of course the Elder museum in Las Palmas.
