Water Sports in Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is not short on sporting activities and for many water sports, Gran Canaria is the ideal location because of the Trade Wind and good all year round climate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For this reason Gran Canaria is fast becoming the place to be for water sports like windsurfing, deep sea fishing and the list goes on and on. This even includes scuba diving to see some of the various wrecks that are resting on the sea bed around Gran Canaria.

Not forgetting the many excursions that are available just to enjoy the sea and the sea life around the island. The sea and everything to do with it is very important to Gran Canaria and the islanders have found so many ways to make good use of this resource, including a wide range of water sports.

If you are interested the water sports available as a spectator there is plenty to see.



If you want to participate in any of the water sports but have never done this before, well don't worry because there are plenty of water sports hire shops and water sports instruction centres available in most of the major coastal resorts.
