If you're interested in natural history then Reptilandia park, may be the place for you. It is one of the few zoos in Spain that exhibits the Komodo Dragon. In Reptilandia Park you can see this rather curious lizard in a natural outdoor terrarium.
As the parks name "Reptilandia" suggests, it concentrates on the reptilian world. It has crocodiles over 12ft long, giant snakes, venomous snakes, all the way to the world of the spider, including Tarantulas.
Reptilandia Park houses over 150 different species over a space of 10,000 square metres.
Reptilandia Park also has a collection of some of the world's smallest monkeys including Pigmy Marmosets, Madagascan Lemurs and Golden Lion Tamarinds, over 1000 animals in total bought together in one park just for you.
As a point of interest, you can see the feeding of the snakes and the komodo dragon on a Sunday at 3pm in Reptilandia Park. Reptilandia Park is in the north of the island of Gran Canaria, and is easy to get to using the GC2 motorway
